Temporary
Prohibited Areas over 'La Hague' and 'Flamanville'
Following the introduction
of
a prohibited area over the French nuclear reprocessing plant at 'La Hague'
the
VFR
Route
Alderney
-
Cap
de la Hague has been suspended for flights under 3900 ft. This does not affect
direct flights to or from the UK, as long as aircraft remain well clear
of Cap de la Hague.
Aircraft arriving from or departing to the east should use the alternative VFR route Heauville Villiage (4934359N, 0014807W) - Alderney, taking care to remain clear of Prohibited Area P 81 (Cherbourg) and the two temporary Prohibited Areas at 'La Hague' and 'Flamanville'. Heauville Villiage is located just south of Vauville airfield (LFAU) located on the northern edge of Danger Area LF-575, which has been suspended as part of this Notam.
The Visual Reporting Point at 'Flamanville' has also been suspended. Aircraft routing direct to or diverting to Guernsey and Jersey should use the alternative VRP at 'Pointe du Rozel'.
